The shader setting has to be at least 'high'. I think it used to be textures when the game was just released, but they released a patch at some point that added a shader setting, and that's where scars are handled now. Thanks I believe in this instance, the scars are handled by the shader setting, not the texture setting. But either way the fact remains that my Quizzies will have to remain scar-less until I can upgrade. (Also, I am able to see other character's scars, just not any for my Inquisitor.don't know if that's strange or not, given my settings. Thank you kindly for your answers, it's good to know why it's not working, at least. Then I can see about whether or not I can set my game graphics to ultra and hopefully it'll all work out for the best. Hopefully I'll be able replace it and give myself an upgrade. My current one is having a lot of issues with crashes and such (interestingly not while I'm playing my game ever, but it's been happening a lot otherwise) so I'm pretty certain I'll have to look into getting it replaced. I might be getting a better graphics card here soon anyway though. That makes more sense then haha.Īnd yeah, as you mentioned my graphics card isn't the greatest so I have to set almost all my graphics settings to low for the game to run smoothly. A friend installed that setup for me as a gift so I don't really know how it works of if that would impact anything, but figured I'd include it, just in case it happens to be important to the issue I'm having (though I don't find it likely).Īh, alright. The only thing non-standard about my PC setup is that I have 2 HDD's, not just one (the second is in place of my CD drive, so I don't have a CD drive either). Here's my system info, in case it's relevant:

I don't know why, or how to fix it though, and thus I come to you. Hopefully I'm not the only one who's encountered this problem or there's at least someone out there who has some ideas on how I could fix it. I also own the game on PS3, so I'm aware that on the PS3 version scars were never made available (there aren't even any sliders or anything in the character creator), but on the PC they should be there, and since the sliders do exist it tells me that something, somewhere isn't working right. But I ended up having the exact same issue there.

are all present.but no matter which way I set it, the scars weren't showing up on my Inquisitor's face, like they were invisible or something? I have the Black Emporium DLC, so I thought that it would be possible that I'd be able to add in scars later, with the "makeover mirror" thing (yes, I know that's not what it's called, I just can't remember the name of it right now lol). When I first started my game and was making my Inquisitor in the character creator, the sliders for scar type, intensity, placement, etc.
