Illustrator CS5 is not officially supported on Windows 10 and there are not too many people in this forum has been to get it to run, so you're basically on the search of your own stuff. Illustrator CS5 is 32-bit and Windows 10 is a 64-bit OS, unstable kind of compatibility (as appropriate). You can only buy it used (which is dangerous due to fraud) I have question in mind if it will work on Windows 10 or not?

Then I decided to open files already manufactured container placed images and all they have is a bounding box with no picture. I can click on 'place' and get the file, it seems to go through the right process, then there is no image on the artboard, at all, anywhere. I've been using Illustrator CS5 for over a year now and have had no problems until yesterday when I opened illustrator and could not place all of the images. Does anyone know a fix to be unable to 'place' in Illustrator cs5?
